I was just browsing through some forums and webpages for information on Xenon Projector retrofitting. In case you guys don’t know what this is, go google it. The gist of it is that, you retrofit your original reflector based headlamps into the projector ones like the ones you see on a BMW, Merc, etc.

Now, having wanted to do this for a long time, I tried searching local forums for more information to source for cheap parts as well as trying to find cheap labour. I have also tried searching around the internet and most retrofits are done overseas, which to me is just not viable.

The one thing I have always assumed is that Malaysians are not properly educated in terms of proper vehicle lighting. My assumption has been proven true when I searched local sites. The one thing I noticed is that overseas DIY modders are more well informed and they know the stuff they are talking about.

Malaysians on the other hand are just plain ignorant. No doubt there are a bunch out there who knows their thing and appreciates proper lighting. Unfortunately, 90% of the time, I see people asking questions with a lot of misconceptions in them. The very obvious misconception would be that Xenon HID capsules are the blue bulbs producing white light. See, I am so tired of explaining all these, that I won’t even bother.

They do not even know what a good beam pattern looks like. They condemn the use of Xenons on the road just because they bothered looking directly at the headlamp to blind themselves. When a car is tilted uphill and the car happened to be equipped with Xenons and are blinding them, they instantly label Xenons as blinding. They do not even take into consideration the fact that any lighting will blind them when the car is tilted upwards.

I don’t even know why I am writing this. I guess it’s because of the fact that people here are just plain ignorant. Instead of better understanding technology and then commenting based on logical and objective grounds, they condemn the use of Xenons. I am not blaming these bunch of people as I do admit that they are a lot of cheapo kits out there which shouldn’t even be installed in the first place. Not only is it blinding the hell out of other road users, but it is also not effective as a uniform and homogeneous lighting instrument as the beam pattern is just completely screwed.

We need more people who can understand the fact that the blindness caused by Xenons are not because of the technology itself, but rather due to irresponsible manufacturers, installers and users. In fact, improperly aimed halogen headlights or screwed up cheapo halogen bulbs, that many people so favour over Xenons, are even more blinding that properly installed Xenons.

How I wish people would read up more and be more well informed. All I ask for is that people be more informative and not ignorant. It really upsets me that some people talk like as if they know everything when they know not even a fraction of what they are talking about. To tell me that “Xenon lamps should be banned simply because they are bright and I don’t care if it’s properly installed” is to simply tell me that butcher knives are to be banned simply because they are big and they are a hazard to other people, regardless of how you use them.

It doesn’t even make a single sense to me. Think about it.

Dog Tag

So, after waiting for a good 11 days, I finally received my dog tags all the way from the United States. In case you were wondering, dog tags are those tags you put on dogs for identification purpose. The dog tag that I am referring to here, however, is not that, but rather the military style ID tag. They are called dog tags simply because of their almost identical looks to the dog tags worn by the dogs.

Anyway, I got my tags custom embossed with wordings of my choice. I did one plate the US military style and the other plate with emergency contact information. You wear this on your neck with a beaded stainless steel chain. For the side silencers, you have a variety of colors to choose from. I chose black for authenticity.

These tags are originally worn by military personnels for identification purposes. Most of the time, these 2 tag plates are worn together. The chains are designed to break off easily. In case of any emergencies during war and the body could not be retrieved on the spot, one tag will be yanked off and the other will remain with the soldier.

Oh well, here is an authentic custom made military dog tag, for my use. :)

Nicolekiss Boutique

The online boutique scene is starting to be the hype nowadays. Even traditional location based boutiques are starting to make their presence felt online. Anyway, Nicole, a personal friend of mine, had also started venturing into the boutique trend as well.

The unique thing here is that, unlike most online boutiques, selling only a certain particular clothing, or apparels, she sells just about everything that is nice. No, she doesn’t just sell cloths or apparels. Anything nice under the sun is sold here.

For a start, her fashion is categorized into a few categories, namely:

  • Baby Pout
  • The Love House
  • Kiss Me Down Under
  • Sweet Kisses
  • Like A Virgin
  • Oh-So-Cute
  • That First Date
  • Just A Peck
  • Elegance

Now, aside from the first and the last category, I kinda find the category names very tempting. Allow me to explain, if you wanna make your baby pout at you, go for the Baby Pout category. No, really, the category is meant for baby fashion and accessories.

Then, you have The Love House where you can find candles, cutleries, pillows, love mugs, love toys to enhance or create your dream home.

Then, you also have the Kiss Me Down Under category, which I am very tempted to go for. :P This is where you go to buy your chick hot, sexy, steamy night wear to tempt you all night long, to kiss her down under. :P

You also have Sweet Kisses where you can buy yourself beautiful ear rings, exquisite necklaces, etc. As the owner puts it, you will find your life to be more interesting with “sweet kisses”.

You also have Like A Virgin for those of you non virgins out there who wanna feel like a virgin again which consists of all WHITE items, which will make you look “oh so innocent”, like a virgin. :P

If you wanna feel cute, feel free to browse the Oh-So-Cute section. Here, you will find lolita costumes, cosplays (read that as TV game fantasies :P), and anything cute.

If you so wish to set yourself a good impression on your first date, head over to the That First Date section. Apparently, this is meant to target female consumers between 15-30 years of age. Not to worry if you are older and if you wanna feel young and dating again, go ahead and browse!

If you need a romantic peck on the cheek or lips, head over to the Just A Peck section and I will personally see to it that you get your best peck ever. OK, really, this is where you browse for items to compliment your first dating dress. Interesting dress up bags, eye lashes and even kinky stockings are waiting for you. ;)

Last, but not least, do head over to Elegance if you wanna find elegant, classy pieces for your formal or gala dinner.

See, I wasn’t kidding when I said she sells literally everything. Need to enhance your bed life? She has got it. Need a change for your home? She has got it too! Something elegant? There it is. Something hot and cheeky? You get that too!

You know what the best thing is? Everything you purchase, will be shipped to you free of charge if you are staying anywhere within Malaysia or Singapore.

Anyway, head over to Nicolekiss Boutique for more information and also to browse her product range. For a start, she has quite a number of products up for grab. Give her sometime and she will definitely have more products up for grab in no time. :)
