Something Is Seriously Wrong…

I just hop to Adrian’s blog moments ago. What I read was seriously wrong. I mean seriously, what on earth is wrong with bringing your kids to watch some movie? How many movies are there on TV that is 18SX, 18PL, 18 whatever… and kids are still watching it, no?
Find, some might say, it’s your home, you can do whatever you like. This is public and we do not allow people below 18 to watch. It’s just plain dooohhhh to me. I mean, why the hell do you censor the movie in the first place? Since you clasify a movie is good for persons above 18, then don’t censor it la since no kids will watch it anyway.
The way I look at it, the guidance is only for parental discretion and if the parents consent to it, I do not see what the problem is. Something is seriously wrong with our censorship in Malaysia.
Overseas, inappropriate contents are censored when broadcasted in public. When the content is aired from a DVD, it does state parental discretion but does not censor the content. It is the parents’ responsibility to limit the content to their kids. I can only understand censorship of nudity but not censorship of kissing and hugging? Common, people don’t know how to kiss and hug mer?
Now, preventing kids below 18 from watching Fast and Furious 4? All I can say is, REDICULOUS!

Yeah, I read that too! Very ridiculous lor! Well, our country is very peaceful and safe at the moment so I think they have nothing better to do than to spot check kids in the cinema
preventing kids below 18 from watching Fast and Furious 4?
Serious?? Fuiyo… How can like tat??
Haha. That’s really funny. I think it is ok to watch Fast and Furious 4 as Malaysia did a good job in censor ‘exciting’ portion of the movie.
