On A Saturday Night…

I have been intending to post this a while back in time. Let’s rewind back in time when Clare and I went to KL somewhere mid August. It had been a long day and we needed a good shower. Of all times of the day, this just had to greet up right at the lift entrance.

What?! You are currently experiences hot water disruption? Wah, then I am also experiences some unsatisfaction in me.
You also apologize for the inconveinien… what what what?!?! You lost me there, mate!
Anyway, we had a chilling shower and took a short nap before heading out for dinner. We were wondering what to have for dinner that night. Seriously, we were out of ideas. Truthfully, I was also looking for cheaper alternatives as I didn’t have much with me.
After an hour, we still couldn’t figure out what to eat and finally, I screwed the plan of finding for cheap alternatives and decided to bring Clare for some western cuisine.

Clare was so hungry she even wanted to bite on the Mr. Potato poster despite that big warning notice there. Clare, it’s STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Get it?!
We walked to the monorail station and grabbed our transport to Bukit Bintang. We walked or way to The Ship restaurant. How romantic!

Now, how shall I describe the reataurant? Hmmm… the interior is themed to make you feel like you’re dining inside a ship. Even the staff are dressed up like ship crews with different ranks.

We started off by sharing a small bowl of salad which came with Clare’s set meal.

Of course, we had some garlic bread too. The garlic bread here is probably an entree dish you wouldn’t wanna miss. It’s an ordinary dish but deliciously prepared by our fellow chefs at The Ship. OK, I kinda start to sound like I am working for them.

The mushroom soup is also one of those you wouldn’t wanna miss. Yes, the mushroom soup here is quite creamy and rich in taste.

Then, came the main dish and I had my usual black pepper chicken. Seriously, I don’t know what is with me and chicken.

Clare had the Rib Eye Steak. Look at that sinfully juicy steak.

She had it medium rare. Look at that succulent, juice dripping steak.

Heck, they even have their own in house brand of chilli sauce for you to use for whatever you wanna compliment it with.

Anyway, after a fulfilling meal, we sat back for a while, just chilling and taking in the surrounding. It’s kinda interesting sometimes to be looking at people having their meal and chatting away happily.

Looking around our surrounding was even educational. I learnt how to tie a couple of knots, which of course I have forgotten.

When you are done, help them maintain their ‘buoyancy’ by giving them some feedback on what you like and dislike about your whole experience in the restaurant.

All in all, I would recommend this restaurant for occasional dinners and that wasn’t my first time going there. The damage was slightly above RM100 and that’s pretty standard for such dining experience in KL. I guess the picture above says it all. ![]()

Actually your stomach said it all
*runs* LOL!
Ooo…for 2 persons? Expensive!!! But the food there is nice. I’ve dined there before. Next time, go to the Colliseum along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman for the old colonial experience and great food - if it is still in business, that is! (I think it is! It’s heritage!)…Btw, u two didn;t go upstairs at the Ship? Nice bands! I saw Jac Victor there before she became an idol! But I think these days lots of ah-kuas!!!
Clare: @#$%^&*&^%$#@!!!!
suituapui: Will try when I have the chance to drop by KL!
No we didn’t go up. I kinda like the environment downstairs better. I have been up there once and I didn’t quite like it. Perhaps there was no performance and was a little bit quiet when I was there.
Wahhh ~ Nampak sedapppp larrrrr
ahlost: Memang sedap. I like the environment and the food there.
