The Unexpected
Jan 22nd, 2008 by Alvin Chong
Sometimes, I tend to think that Murphy loves me a lot. It seems to me as if the unexpected always occur at the most inconvenient time when you least expect it. Oh yes, this has happened to me, so much so that I am immune to it already. Nonetheless, I still hate it a lot when it happens.
Just this morning, I had to wake up to a customer’s call at 6am. The nature of my job does not permit me to switch my phone off for the night, don’t ask me why. It is always an emergency if my customers have to call me up that early in the morning. It can’t be anything good, well, at least based on my experience.
Some might say 6am is not exactly that early anymore. I do agree, but the problem is that I slept at about 2am. With barely 4 hours of sleep, I am a little bit grumpy right now. I am trying to do whatever it takes to keep my eyes open. OK OK, some might then ask why didn’t I sleep earlier. The answer is simply because I am a night person. Unless I am really tired, I tend to sleep at around 12-2am.
It is true when people ask us to expect the unexpected because the least expected things will always tend to happen. Sometimes, things just don’t seem to wanna go wrong when I am in the office, but, when I am off work, everything just tend to like to go wrong. I don’t know why, but I have been noticing such phenomenon ages ago.
Anyway, it’s another long day. I just hope for this day to pass faster. I need my rest. I am deprived of my very much needed sleep!!!

Happy Chinese New Year!
Monkey Wong: Happy Chinese New Year to you too!!! May the luck of the Rat (my year, that is) bring me more luck! hahaha…
