Food, Food and More Food!

Yes, this is another food post. This time round, it’s gonna be food from the Sarawak Club restaurant. If you guys haven’t already know, Sarawak Club is one of those prestigious club in Kuching, Sarawak. Then again, that is another story but let us get back to food.
Anyway, these are some of the common dishes.

One can never miss out on the Fish Lips Soup. This is a must for every Chinese dinner, well, at least to me.
It’s basically soup with fish lips, eggs, crab meat, if you will, and many other things you can creatively think of. Of course, add some black vinegar to the soup and you’ll go straight up to heaven. A word of caution though, make sure you do not put too much vinegar.

Of course there is the standard fried chicken. Couple this with pepper salt and it will taste absolutely perfect. Of course, the chicken must be prepared as such that it’s tender and juicy.

Then, you have the Kang Kong vegetable. My personal opinion is that this vegetable will taste best when stir fried with belachan. I can finish a whole bowl of rice with the gravy soup. Muahahaha…

This is the beef, juicily stir fried with onion rings and green peas. How is the taste? Well, it’s salty with a bit of onion taste. I also do not know how to describe this, you really have got to try this on your own.

Last, but not least, is the buttered prawn. This is my favourite dish. I have to say, of all buttered prawns I have ever tasted, nothing beats the one at Sarawak Club. The prawns are first slightly fried, I reckon, to give them some crunchiness. Wet butter is then showered on top of the prawns as dressing and is topped with some herbs. Don’t ask me what herb because I frankly do not know. How does it taste like? Needless to say, SUPERB!!! Highly recommended!
There you go, another food post. Go on and drool… ![]()

The beef was covered with black pepper sauce, you forgot to mention! Heehee!!! Damn you! I am craving for Sarawak Club’s buttered prawn liao!
Craving? Wahaha… the last time you went, you weren’t fated to even taste it. We shall try again… hehehe…
