Luxurious Dining

So the story was that I met up with Clare, Nicole and Cheesie for dinner at One Utama. Mind you, it wasn’t a simple and cheap dinner. It was rather costly but it was OK just to try the food out. I have to say, the food and drink are rather tasty. What I had that night was purely recommended by the waitress attending to us.
The atmosphere is rather good and the food is “made with love”. First off, we had Clare ordering the classic Spaghetti Bolognese. For some reason, the Bolognese paste and seasoning they used on the pasta tasted somewhat different from what I have tasted before.
I don’t know if it tastes better or worse but I’d say, probably better. Then, you had me ordering the Carbonara but with chicken. I do take beef but I am not a big fan of beef.
Before I forget, I’ll have to tell you that the cheese slices you see above are so aromatic and delicious. It tastes one of a kind when you put it in your mouth. Nicole loved the Carbonara but was complaining about me opting for chicken instead of beef. -__-”
Then, we had Cheesie ordering this chicken dish. Pardon my lousy memory as I had forgotten the names of the dishes. I personally love this dish. The chicken, for some reason, tasted really aromatic.
I don’t know if it’s me or just the dish. The chef just managed to extract the tasty aroma of the chicken. It’s perhaps in the way the cream blended so well with the chicken, I don’t know.
Cheesie, being robbed off her chicken dish by Nicole, ordered yet another different variety of pasta. Again, pardon my bad memory. I’ll leave the names to Clare, Nicole and Cheesie to figure out for me. Not the best pasta I have tasted, I’ll stick to my Carbonara, thank you. Oh, the white thing you see on top, those are not cream or ice cream. It’s another kinda cheese which Cheesie claims she loves to death.
For drinks, I had this Watermelon & Laichee Burst, if that is what they call it. I love this drink so much. Simple, yet refreshing and lovely in taste. It’s basically watermelon and laichee blended with ice and mint leaves. One word, TASTY!
Clare opted out on drinks and instead ordered this chocolate dessert, as suggested by Nicole, the chocoholic. The dessert is made up of layers of sinful chocolate, cream and milk as well as some cake crust. “Tastes nice” is how I would describe it.
The damage done was quite a sum but I forgot what the total was. Anyway, for those who fancy luxurious dining and would like to try something new, go ahead and try this one out. Again, I’ll let Clare, Nicole and Cheesie remind me of the name of place. I’ll be updating as names come in.
Here, I present to you the two pretty girls. Nicole, on the right, ordered nothing, but ended up snatching Cheesie’s chicken dish. I met Cheesie for the very first time that night. She turned out to be a really different person, both physically and mentally.
Here, you have the gorgeous Clare and yours truly. The four of us had a great time and we had long meaningless chats, from work to life to places.
We went for a movie after that. No, not for Ratatouille, but for a stupidly hillarious Thai comedy show, See How They Run.
