Unbelievable? Believe It

On The Side Note:
1) I went to watch The Banquet last night. I rate the movie 3/5 stars. An interesting movie for people who know how to enjoy traditional chinese storylines but may bore some people who dislike slow paced movie to death. I personally love it and Zhang Zi Yi is hot, hot, HOT!
This is probably the most rediculous news that I have ever came across. Flipping through the papers a few days ago, I came across a news clip that I would have never expected to see in my whole life. It got me wondering how much more amazing can humans get. If my memory serves me well, the news was about a report being lodged to the police against a 14 year old teenage girl for using the same smilies all over her blog. The rationale was that she isn’t creative and that the blog gave readers a mundane feeling.
Now, if this report ever makes its way to court and if the prosecutor actually wins the case, I’ll have to say that Malaysia probably has one of the most interesting cyber laws ever. For god’s forsaken sake, she is just a teenage girl! What is so god damn wrong with her using the same smilies over and over again? There is no need to take legal action against a young girl who is trying to express herself in her own ways. So much so that she was so traumatised by the whole episode of events that she had decided to shut down her blog for the time being.
It’s the joke of the century. It’s just like coming up to me and then saying you wanna sue me for always smiling because I never show any other expressions on my face other than smiling. Rediculous? Then, the above is just as rediculous! If posts on a blog are offensive and are defaming a person, then it’s a completely different story but to lodge a report against a young girl for expressing her thoughts with no malicious intent to harm anyone is just absurd. Enough said.

some laws js dn make sense at all. if we hav such ppl as country leaders.. what will the country become like huh? haha..
Don’t ask me, I am just as dumbfounded as you are. Some people probably think it makes sense to sue people for such things. I, on the other hand, can’t seem to comprehend even the slightest bit as to why they did it.
homaigahd, the Philippines should have laws like these! hahaha! just because she uses smilies too much?

:) if that’s the case, a lot of Filipinos would be serving maximum jail time because they aren’t creative and are even far worse bloggers even at the age of 24.
